My FRA Jan magazine arrived today, and it notes the passing of PHC John Eldgidge. Please pass to all concerned.
Al, can you verify the spelling of the last name – was it Elridge?
Thanks
When I went through A school in 1973 we had a 120 format plastic camera made by Singer Sewing Machine. I have searched but cannot find any reference to it
Ken,
The Graflex company name changed several times over the years as it was absorbed and then released by the Kodak empire, finally becoming a division of the Singer Corporation and then dissolved in 1973, when Graflex corporate history ends.
Mickey do you remember the camera I am sure it was pretty much plastic parts and we used it in A School It did not say Graflex on it said Singer
Sure I did not use it but the company was renamed and merged a couple of times according to history. Maybe this is one for a Facebook post to catch more chatter? I don’t find an all plastic camera that shoots 120 by the Singer Company but, I do find a film back by Singer. I’ll try and post a photo
In 1973 I was selected with 25 others out of A School to report to Atlantic Fleet Combat Camera Group. I have now been selected to report June 1st to USMC Marine Corps Systems Command new Organization called Command and Control. One of the programs that I will be responsible for the MPT Manpower, Personnel and Training is YEP USMC Combat Camera Group. Wow who would ever figure that I would start my Navy Career at Combat Camera Group and now close to the end of my DoD civilian Career I am BACK with a Combat Camera Group….GO NAVY and SEMPER FI!
Semper Fi. I was a pho jo with AFCCG’s Special Projects in the early 1970s. Regards.

I am looking for anyone who may have served with my Father – John Edwin Eldridge, Sr. PHC. He passed last September and after going through his papers there are a couple of questions I would like to have answered, if possible. He retired in the late 60s. My name is Ed Eldridge – eldridge0927@gmail.com. Thanks.
Ed,
We have a facebook group you could also post this on.
