Hoo Yah Shipmates,

God bless our great Nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, without a military parade past the White House to show its strength, but with family picnics, ball games, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream with apple pie, and fireworks to light up the skies. You might think you’ve overindulged, but its patriotism, just the same.

This weekend as we celebrate our great Nation’s birthday and everything America  – independence, freedom, families, and service, let’s never forget those who chose to wear the cloth of our nation, and sacrificed everything to allow us to continue to be the land of the free, and home of the brave . As we gather to celebrate our independence this year, we ask that you take the time to remember those who gave all their tomorrows so we could take pause and celebrate today.

In the words of Lee Greenwood: “And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.”

It seems with the pandemic, time creeped along at a snail’s pace, but then suddenly we are more than halfway through this year. With that said Happy Fourth of July Brothers and Sisters. Let’s feel the pride of being Americans in our hearts and enjoy our freedom. May our country always flourish and may we celebrate many more years of independence to come.

We look forward to seeing you this November in Pensacola Beach to celebrate the centennial of photographers being officially established as a rate.

From your NANP Board of Directors; stay safe over the summer, have a fine Navy Day and an outstanding Independence Day.
