David J. Kruse, 50, of Des Moines passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, September 27, 2012 due to complications of diabetes. Dave was born in Des Moines on March 10, 1962 to Eugene and Elsie Kruse. He graduated from Dowling High School before joining the U. S. Navy. His twenty year career as an aerial photographer included three deployments to Antarctica. He retired in 2003 as a Petty Officer First Class. Dave was an avid outdoorsman and an American history buff. Dave is survived by his two children, Megan and Jacob Kruse and their mother, Deborah Kruse; brother, Kevin Kruse; sister, Carol (Dave) Glaza; nephew and niece, Alex and Emily Kruse; and extended family members and friends.
