RULES TO LIVE BY
by Bob Sitar

I love aviation and photography. I love my wife and children. I love to eat and I love that other stuff my wife asked me not to talk about. If I had to put things in order the first would be Family. I love my wife, children and family. That's the first and cannot be changed. The second is a little harder because it depends on ones mood, the time of day, how hard it's raining out side, etc. For example, if you hadn't eaten in three days I'm sure food would be close to being near the top. I didn't say at the top because you may be trying to loose weight to fit in you airplane and in that case aviation could be at the top. Or given another example it may be Lent and your Fasting in atonement for you sins. Whatever the reason the second priority is harder to arrive at, but can be set, however is more changeable than the first. So it goes throughout life, It's hard to set goals and even harder to keep on course to meet those goals. After all we are human, we make mistakes, we don't like to admit mistakes, even I make a mistake once, I can't remember what is was though. I'm sure someone will remember and tell every body what it was. I love aviation and those of you who know me will support that fact. The aviation community is a small elite group of people who love flying and all that is associated with flying. It doesn't make much difference whether you own a Aztec, Piper Arrow, Cessna 150 or rent an airplane, the common bond is there. It doesn't make any difference whether your male or female, white or black, when you see a group of pilots at the big round table at the airport restaurant you can always go over, ask a question you already know the answer to, be invited to sit down, join in the conversation, and feel right at home. Sometimes you may even be able to get a point across. Pilots as a group will stick together, are hard headed, and sometimes even the best will land with the landing gear up or run out of gas. Everyone, without exception will agree how stupid a thing that is to do, however, every one of us knows some who has already done it. Some day someone may come out with a fix that will keep prevent that sort of thing from happening. However for now it's left up to us mortals to prevent that from happening. Pilots are great at helping one another, and I would like that to be said about me.
I supported aviation by trying to give the best possible service at the lowest cost to fellow aircraft owners. I've told people that if the time ever came when they couldn't afford to pay, we could work something out. Guess what? You don't know if I was telling the truth or BS ing because no one took me up on the offer. If however I hurt or cheated anyone I ask for your forgiveness, on the other side if you did anything to me forget about it, I forgive you. I hope I've influenced you life a little, but am smart enough to realize after the party some one will ask, "What was the name of that guy who owned 7DD anyway?"
See you. Think of me when you fly.

I Would like my ashes spread between CPK and SFQ. If my wife wants, some ashes can be buried in one of the two plots we bought from Gus the cemetery plot seller, buy one get one free.
